This Philharmonic Orchestra makes a unique contribution to the musical life of the region. It attracts players from a wide area and continues to develop with an ever more varied repertoire. As a non-professional orchestra it consists of players who are united by one principle, namely a love of music-making, and the sharing of that love with their audiences.

Orchestra - Number 2

This Orchestra was founded in 1973 and it performs regularly in Street and Wells.

The aim of the orchestra is to provide local amateur musicians with the opportunity to rehearse together, and to give good performances of the classics for the enjoyment of the residents of this part of the country.

Orchestra - Number 3

This orchestra was founded by Jonathan James and had its first concert in June 1997, and has quickly grown into one of Bristol's most dynamic and prestigious amateur orchestras. It draws on local talent for its members from a variety of professional backgrounds, all who have the common goal of playing to the highest standard possible.

Orchestra - Number 4

This Orchestra has been bringing top quality performances of the finest music to audiences in the West of England and beyond since 1994. Their repertoire extends from Baroque to contemporary, and ranges from small chamber pieces to large orchestral works. As well as their busy concert schedule, they are equally comfortable in the recording studio; providing music for films and TV; and working on educational and outreach projects. They work regularly with international soloists, composers, choirs and even the occasional rock band!
